13 More Bangladeshis die in New York, New Jersey from coronavirus

According to a local journalist, thirteen more Bangladeshis died yesterday from coronavirus in New York and New Jersey in 15 hours, from 7:00 am (NY time).

To date, at least 50 people have died in the two cities from Covid-19, told Zakaria Masud, editor of the local daily Ajkal and president of the Bangladeshi Business Association Jackson Heights

Many Bangladeshi Uber and taxi drivers have been testing positive, the journalist said when asked about the virus-affected Bangladeshi population.

 

A Bangladeshi police officer working for the NY Police Department, asking for anonymity, said Bangladeshi citizens living in New York aren’t serious about the lockdown. They wander around even though they don’t have an emergency, he said.
