Former Pakistani Home Minister arrested
Senior leader of Nawaz Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) and former Central Home Minister Ahsan Iqbal have been arrested.
He was arrested on Monday by the Rawalpindi branch of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), a Pakistani anti-corruption agency. Dawn of news.
Ahsan Iqbal was summoned to inquire into the Narowal Sports City (NSC) project at Rawalpindi for corruption. He was then arrested from there, according to a statement from the NAB.
According to a statement from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the influential minister of Nawaz Sharif’s cabinet has been called by a group of doctors to assess his physical condition after his arrest. He will be arraigned in Accountability Court tomorrow and will be sought for his remand.
The allegations against Ahsan Iqbal, that he has created a large sports city worth crores of crores of rupees, using funds from the Central Government and the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).
However, the PML-N leader claimed that he had submitted all the documents related to his income to the NAB office in Rawalpindi.
