Irrfan khan is no more
One of India’s most famous actors Irrfan Khan passed away at age 53 on Wednesday at a hospital in Mumbai, where he was admitted for colon infection.
Times of India released the actor’s death news referring to moviemaker Shoojit Sircar’s condolence letter.
Irrfan Khan, who won millions of fans with his roles in various foreign and Indian films, is no longer mentioned by IANS. A statement by its official spokesperson reported Wednesday’s demise of the 54-year-old star.
Notably, Irrfan worked in a Bangladeshi film ‘Doob’ produced by filmmaker Mustafa Sarwar Farooki 2017 about the life of renowned author Humayun Ahmed. The film was a big success while the actor received massive praise for his performance in the film.
Irrfan was admitted to a colon-infected Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday. While speculation about his health status had been dispelled by a statement released by his spokesman in the early hours of Wednesday, confirmation of his death came later in the day.
Expressing condolences to Irrfan Khan’s family, filmmaker Shoojit Sircar tweeted Wednesday morning: “My dear friend Irfaan. You fought and fought and fought. I will always be proud of you.. we shall meet again.. condolences to Sutapa and Babil.. you too fought, Sutapa you gave everything possible in this fight. Peace and Om shanti. Irfaan Khan salute.”
