PM mourns the death of educator Niloufer Manzur
Prime Minister Sheik Hasina today expressed profound surprise and sorrow at the death of Niloufer Manzur, a renowned educator and founding director of Dhaka’s Sunbeams College.
The Prime Minister prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
Niloufer Manzur died today from Covid-19 at the Joint Military Hospital (CMH) in the capital. She was 74 years old.
She leaves behind her husband Syed Manzur Elahi, former government advisor and chairman of Apex Footwear Ltd, her son and daughter, grandchildren, and a large number of colleagues, admirers, and teachers.
Niloufer Manzur was the daughter of late Dr. Mafiz Ali Chowdhury, a former minister in Bangabandhu Sheik Mujibur Rahman’s cabinet in 1972.
